With the weather playing along, Host Nation Council Spangdahlem e. V. celebrated its 20th anniversary last weekend at the community hall in Spangdahlem.
At the official ceremony, Host Nation Council Spangdahlem e. V. welcomed numerous guests. In addition to the council members, many representatives from politics and business, we were especially pleased to welcome Major General Derek France, Commander, 3rd Air Force, Ramstein Air Base, with his wife Amanda and Colonel Kevin Crofton, Commander, 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Air Base and his wife Kate. It was a special honor that besides the 1st Chairman Jan Niewodniczanski, Consul General Norman Thatcher Scharpf, American Consulate General Frankfurt as well as the Minister of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Sports Michael Ebling found the right words during their speeches for this grand occasion.
From 2 p.m. on, everyone was welcome to celebrate the German-American friendship alongside the Host Nation Council Spangdahlem e. V.. Many highlights made for an unforgettable event!
