The many constructional changes at Spangdahlem Air Base in recent years led, among other things, to the HNC desk formerly located in the Regreation Center no longer being frequented.
The reason was the relocation of the shopping center located in the neighborhood to a new building near the new Housing buildings. Negotiations were therefore initiated with the airfield management to relocate the HNC desk to another building with as much foot traffic as possible. These also quickly led to an agreement. This was followed by the establishment of the new HNC desk in Building 42, Conference Center. In close coordination with the Air Base, the furnishings were procured and on 05 September 2014, the new Desk could be handed over to its intended purpose during a Board meeting, in the presence of the Air Base management.

At the same time, the opening hours of the desk were adapted to the new conditions. At the desk, the employee Herta Retterbusch and the employees Manfred Kremer, Hans Karb and Andreas Gerlach are present on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 15:00 and Thursdays from 11:00 to 15:00 for the servicemen and women of the air base as contact persons.
