This year, after a three year break due to corona, the Special Children’s Day will finally take place again at Spangdahlem Air Base.
The event for children with disabilities of St. Martin School Bitburg, the integrative daycare center of Lebenshilfe Bitburg and Spangdahlem Air Base will begin on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 09:00 in the fitness center, building no. 580.
In recent years, more than 90 children have participated in the sporting events, indulged in some American-style lunch and were awarded prizes at the award ceremony.
Supported by approximately 200 volunteers, the event was a great success and reaffirmed the excellent relationship between the German and American people – a day fondly remembered by parents, teachers, volunteers and especially the children.
Host Nation Council Spangdahlem (registered association) is looking forward to supporting this event!
